Don Bartlett
Memorial Education Fund
As long-time supporters of EARS Inc., Don and Helen Bartlett have raised funds for, and visited, projects in PNG and Malawi. Don was not only present at the opening of the ABC Hearing Clinic and Training Centre in Lilongwe in 2013, he nailed in some of the skirting boards! Don had a keen interest in Science, through a long career in Chemical Engineering, and a passionate desire to meet the needs of the poor, which was driven by his Christian faith. Don was a devoted supporter of EARS Inc., giving public presentations to church and community groups; especially about the work in Malawi initiated by audiologists Peter and Rebecca Bartlett, his son and daughter-in-law. Sadly, Don Bartlett passed away on 10th February 2023. To keep Don's dream alive in supporting EARS Inc. develop the next generation of audiologists, EARS Inc. is proud to launch the Don Bartlett Memorial Education Fund. This Fund will be specifically used to support students studying audiology, through EARS Inc. capacity development projects, in the form of tuition, educational resources and course development and delivery. He's inquisitive, talkative, questioning, thoughtful, thought-provoking, caring, crazy, compassionate, fit and active, interactive and hyperactive, analytical, pragmatic, life-affirming, faith-filled and faithful, loyal, optimistic , God-honouring, spontaneous, encouraging, ingenious, protective, creative, self-sacrificing, joyful, loving, genuine and has great integrity. He's a man whose footsteps are worth walking in and I have had the privilege to do so.”
